1st ODI: West Indies vs Afghanistan Dream11 Prediction, Fantasy Cricket Tips, Playing XI, Team, Pitch Report and Weather Conditions

Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee International Cricket Stadium, Lucknow

Weather Report:

Partly Cloudy conditions with few chances of rain and temperature ranging around 28 degrees Celsius expected during the game.

Pitch Report:

It will be a decent batting track with a sufficient amount of assistance for the pacers as well as the spinners, who will have a major say on the eventual outcome of the game.

Injuries:

Sunil Narine misses out through injury.

Probable Playing XI:

West Indies:

Brandon King and Hayden Walsh will be expected to make their international debuts after they were called up to the national squad on the back of tremendous performances in the recently concluded CPL. Evin Lewis and Shai Hope start as the openers whilst the likes of Shimron Hetymer and Nicolas Pooran will feature in the middle-order. Relieved from the burden of captaincy, it will be intriguing to see the impact that Jason Holder can carve out with both bat and bowl. Finally, Sheldon Cottrell will lead the way with the bowl in hand.

Evin Lewis, Shai Hope, Shimron Hetymer, Brandon King, Nicholas Pooran(Wk), Roston Chase, Kieron Pollard (C), Jason Holder, Romario Shepherd/ Keemo Paul, Alzarri Joseph/ Sheldon Cottrell, Hayden Walsh

Afghanistan:

Hazratullah Zazai and Javed Ahmadi open the batting and will be relied upon to serve a solid foundation at the top. They also possess a deep batting order as the likes of Asghar Afghan, Mohammad Nabi, and skipper Rashid Khan are all capable of striking big at the business end of the inning. Mujeeb-ul-Rahman holds the key in the bowling department and should receive adequate support from Naveen-ul-Haq, who picked up three wickets in the warm-up fixture.

Hazratullah Zazai, Javed Ahmadi, Rahmat Shah, Ikram Akikhil(Wk), Najibullah Zadran, Asghar Afghan, Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan(C), Naveen-ul-Haq, Yamin Ahmadzai, Mujeeb-ul-Rahman

Top Picks:

Brandon King finished as the top run-getter in the Caribbean Premier League 2019 with 496 runs across 12 matches at an average of 55.11. He is one to watch out for in this contest. Jason Holder is adept at making enormous contributions courtesy of his exceptional dual skill-set. The all-rounder should be considered for the role of captaincy or vice-captaincy in the Dream11 team. Kieron Pollard, Evin Lewis, and Hayden Walsh also make the fantasy side. For Afghanistan, Javed Ahmadi is a must-pick as he amassed 351 runs from eight games in last month’s Shpazeega Cricket League whilst Naveen-ul-Haq is also included after he bagged 10 wickets in the same competition to finish second on the wicket-taking charts. Rashid Khan is a mandatory pick considering his all-round prowess and credentials in white-ball cricket.
