Afghanistan U-19 take on Bangladesh U-19 in the second semi-final of Asia Cup 2019. The Tigers finished as the group leaders with a perfect record of three wins out of three. On the other hand, their opponents suffered a loss in their last game against a quality Indian side but nonetheless put on a gritty display and thus if rain permits, we could have a nail-biting contest ahead of us.
Thunderstorms are predicted throughout the day, which could lead to a rain-curtailed contest while temperature ranging around 28 degree Celsius is expected during the game.
As a result, of the overcast conditions, there will be plenty of assistance for the seamers. Runs will be difficult to come by and therefore whichever side can show enough resilience and discipline in these difficult circumstances will go on to win the game.
No major injury concerns reported.
Probable Playing XI:
The Afghan batsmen haven’t fired hitherto in the tournament and one of Mohammad Ishaq or Farhan Zakhil will have to play a big inning for the team. In the bowling department, Noor Ahmad picked up four wickets in the previous match and the left-arm chinaman could play a decisive role in this game.
Mohammad Ishaq (WK), Rahmanullah, Asif Musazai, Farhan Zakhil (C), Nangeyalia kharote, Sediqullah Atal, Jamshid Khan, Shafiqullah Ghafari, Jandu Hamoud, Abidullah Taniwal, Noor Ahmad, Fazal Haq
Mahmudul Hasan Joy will be brimming with confidence after scoring a spectacular century in the last match. He will be key on a tricky surface whereas Shoriful Islam and Rakibul Hasan will provide impetus with the bowl in hand.
Tanzid Hasan, Towhid Hridoy, Parvez Hossain Emon, Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Shamim Hossain, Shahadat Hossain, Akbar Ali (C), Rakibul Hasan, Mrittunjoy Chowdhury, Shoriful Islam, Tanzim Hasan Sakib

Mahmudul Hasan-Joy is a must-have as he is the second-highest run-getter in the tournament and looks in fabulous touch at the moment.
