Pitch Report

The pitch should have something in it for both pacers and spinners. The powerplay overs will be crucial for either side with the sole aim of a suitable platform to be set for a launch towards the latter half of the innings. 150 should be par on this surface with the spinners having a major say in the proceedings

Weather Report

The weather forecast for this game isn’t too good with persistent rains on the cards for the entire day. Even if a game does happen, spinners will get some turn later on with the pacers depending on change ups.

Injuries: No injuries have been reported

Predicted XI

AFG:

Afghanistan will field a couple of new faces with Najeeb Tarakai set to open the batting alongside Hazratullah Zazai. The experience of Ashgar Afghan, Najibullah Zadran and Mohd Nabi dominate their middle order with a heap of allrounders following suit. Their depth in batting serves them well with two of the world’s best spinners in Rashid Khan and Mujeeb ur Rahman also in their ranks for this game.
Hazratullah Zazai, Najeeb Tarakai, Ashgar Afghan, Najibullah Zadran, Mohd Nabi, Shafiqullah Shafiq, Sharafuddin Ashraf, Rashid Khan, Mujeeb ur Rahman, Gulbadin Naib and Karim Janat

ZIM:

Zimbabwe depends on its stalwarts, Brendan Taylor and Craig Ervine to provide the goods for them against a formidable Afghan side. Hamilton Masakadza is also key at the top of the order with good depth in their batting unit as well. Ryan Burl and Williams are decent options on a good spin track although their fortunes depend on how their pacers adjust to the conditions at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium.
Hamilton Masakadza, Brendan Taylor, Craig Ervine, Sean Williams, Timycen Maruma, Ryan Burl, Tinotenda Mutombodzi, Tony Munyonga, Kyle Jarvis, Tendai Chatara and Neville Madziva

Top Picks:

Hazratullah Zazai’s explosiveness at the top of the order should serve him well in this game with the likes of Mohd Nabi, Sean Williams and Rashid Khan also being picked in the fantasy team. Brendan Taylor fell cheaply in the first game and would love to come back strongly against Mujeeb and Rashid. Najeeb Tarakai and Craig Ervine are selected to complete the batting department while Mujeeb should pick a wicket or two in the powerplay with the pitch providing ample turn for the spinners.

Captaincy Options

1. Hazratullah Zazai
2. Rashid Khan
3. Sean Williams
