WATCH: Ben Stokes disturbs Mark Wood during his interview; Wood gets annoyed

Ben Stokes is always one of the most fun people to be around and over the years, we have seen the all-rounder do a lot of weird stuff on the field to bring about laughter. He was in action on Day 2 of the 3rd Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, which started on a weird note with the English players arriving a little late to the ground on Monday morning.

Mark Wood, the English fast bowler, was being interviewed by the commentators during a drinks break in the second session. While the fast bowler was being interviewed, Ben Stokes was splashing water at him from his sipper. He struggled to capture Wood’s attention in the first two attempts but managed to get it on the third one, and was eventually cursed by the all-rounder.

That little moment sparked laughter among all the commentators and even both the players involved couldn’t control themselves from chuckling. Mark Wood was explaining how good James Anderson was on the day when he was interrupted by Ben Stokes.

England found themselves in further trouble despite doing well with the ball. Australians were troubled with the ball and it looked like the hosts will struggle to finish with a first-innings lead. But some great late contributions from Alex Carey, Pat Cummins, and Mitchell Starc helped them get past the 250-run mark. They got bowled out for 267 runs and got an 82-run lead.

England’s hopes of remaining alive in the Ashes pretty much in the final session of Day 3. Scott Boland, the Victorian pacer making his debut, picked up 2 crucial wickets and left the visiting side in tatters. Mitchell Starc provided another couple of breakthroughs by dismissing Zak Crawley and Dawid Malan.

They were reduced for 31/4 and are still trailing by 51 runs. Ben Stokes and Joe Root are in the middle for the side and if any resurrection is possible, it has to come from these two gentlemen.
