In a repeat of CPL 2019’s opening fixture, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots host defending champions, Trinbago Knight Riders at Warner Park on Wednesday. While TKR lies pretty at the top of the CPL Points Table, SNP is in desperate need of a win to strengthen it’s cause for a top four finish. Although injuries have rocked their campaign, a fully fit Evin Lewis looks to be in top form along with Sheldon Cottrell and Laurie Evans. They will face a stern test in the form of Colin Munro and co, who put their unbeaten streak on the line.

Pitch Report

A decent batting track awaits both sides with the pacers getting some help from the surface. Although it might be tough going initially, batters should bide their time in order to achieve a par score of around 160 with the spinners also coming into play as the match progresses.

Weather Report

There isn’t any threat of rain with the temperature ranging in between 28 and 31 degrees. Upon winning the toss, either captain would want to chase on this surface with the ball coming on nicely as the game progresses.

Injuries: No injuries have been reported for this game

Predicted XI

SKN:

After a complete performance on Monday, SKN shouldn’t be making any changes with debutant, Akeem Jordan starring with a four wicket haul. Evin Lewis and Laurie Evans are in good form with their performances being crucial to their fortunes. Fabian Allen plays as the floater with his ability to clear the boundaries being crucial. All eyes will be upon Sheldon Cottrell, who is due for a good performance against the defending champions, TKR.

Evin Lewis, Devon Thomas, Laurie Evans, Kjorn Ottley, Mohd Hafeez, Fabian Allen, Carlos Brathwaithe, Rayad Emrit, Sheldon Cottrell, Usama Mir and Akeem Jordan

TKR:

TKR aren’t expected to make any changes as well with Colin Munro’s arrival strengthening the team’s batting. Kieron Pollard and Jimmy Neesham have been resourceful although it has been Lendl Simmons’ bat that has done most of the talking so far in CPL 2019. Their bowling unit is also well settled with Mohd Hasnain and Sunil Narine leading the way for them. Javon Searles is a bit and pieces cricketer and should fill in any gaps in the batting order or bowling overs.

Sunil Narine, Lendl Simmons, Colin Munro, Kieron Pollard, Jimmy Neesham, Denesh Ramdin, Khary Pierre, Seekuge Prasanna, Mohd Hasnain, Ali Khan and Javon Searles

Top Picks:

Evin Lewis and Colin Munro have multiple hundreds to their names in international cricket and go about their business in a similar manner. They are great option to have in your fantasy side with pinch hitting all-rounder, Sunil Narine. Laurie Evans has consistently scored runs in the SKN top order and is ideally picked in the side along with Lendl Simmons, who has scored 171 runs in just four innings for TKR. Mohd Hasnain has impressed with his raw pace and should pick a few wickets on Wednesday while Sheldon Cottrell is one to watch out for in this game.

Captaincy Picks:

1. Evin Lewis
2. Colin Munro
3. Sunil Narine
