Where To Watch CPL 2021 Live ? Steaming and TV Details for Caribbean Premier League 2021

The ninth edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) will begin on August 26. The highly anticipated CPL 2021 will kick off with a double-header day, as Guyana Amazon Warriors take on Trinbago Knight Riders and Barbados Royals face St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.

The Warner Park in Basseterre, St Kitts will be hosting the entire 33-game competition within bio-security restrictions amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The CPL 2021 was initially due to have a more expanded window but it was compressed later on following discussions between Cricket West Indies (CWI) and their mighty Indian counterpart Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Trinbago Knight Riders are the defending champions heading into the CPL 2021.

The discussions revolved around the participation of Caribbean and overseas stars in the UAE leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, which had to be rescheduled after facing suspension in early May due to various COVID-19 positive cases.

With an overlap and quarantine hurdles threatening to rob CPL 2021 of some of the world’s best T20 cricketers, including West Indies’ own, the CWI adhered to the request made by BCCI to downsize their window. The board has thus arranged multiple double headers and even triple headers to complete the tournament by September 15. The IPL 2021 resumes in UAE on September 19.

Trinbago Knight Riders are the defending champions heading into the CPL 2021, having clinched their third title in the league’s history last year. St Lucia Zouks, who have been renamed to St Lucia Kings, were the runners-up of CPL 2020.

The six-team competition will see each franchise facing the other twice during the league stage before the top four teams contest the semi-finals.
