Twitter loses its calm as MS Dhoni promotes himself and does it AGAIN! CSK in final

MS Dhoni surprised one and all when he walked in ahead of Ravindra Jadeja, who has the best death overs strike-rate in IPL 2021, and Dwayne Bravo with Chennai Super Kings needing 24 to win off 11 balls against Delhi Capitals in the first qualifier at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Outstanding as a death overs batter at one time, MS Dhoni had looked out of sorts in the middle quite often in the last two seasons, barely able to  find his old groove. All that changed on Sunday night as he walked out – promoting himself yet again, yes that’s right – confidently and dispatched Avesh Khan for a six.

Even as social media outraged at Dhoni pushing himself up the order, when he has appeared clearly past his prime the entire season, Dhoni went about doing what he knows best – winning matches in the death.

With 13 needed off the last over, CSK lost Moeen Ali off the first ball, but MS Dhoni wasn’t done. He smashed Tom Curran for a four off the very next ball and then managed to get an inside edge for another four next ball.

With four to win off three balls, Dhoni sealed the game with a pull for four as social media went into a frenzy!
