In a heartwarming incident on Sunday (August 29), Guyana Amazon Warriors batsman Shimron Hetmyer tried to cheer up St Kitts & Nevis Patriots’ bowler Dwayne Bravo while he was down on the ground holding his injured hand.
Batting with experienced Pakistani player Mohammad Hafeez, Hetmyer initially took the mickey out of his hurting West Indies teammate by gesturing to hit him with the bat and then made it a point to get around and trigger a beaming smile out of him. Even Hafeez was gracious enough to recognise the pain Bravo was bearing and tried to console him at the same time by tapping him on his head and the back.

Hafeez, Hetmyer made Dwayne Bravo laugh after he hurt his hand in a dive.
It seemed that Hetmyer said something really funny to Dwayne Bravo which made the otherwise injured all-rounder forget his pain for a few seconds and offer an affectionate laugh.

The incident is from the 13th over of the Warriors’ innings where on the fourth delivery, Hetmyer played an uppish stroke to the right of the non-striker Hafeez.

As Bravo dived to try and save the run in his followthrough, he bumped into the non-striker and hurt his hand in the process.
Hafeez instantly apologised to the player even as he went across for a single, Hetmyer could find the funny side of things and acted as he is about to smash from the back with his willow.
Once the run was completed, both the batsmen got around Bravo and made him laugh.
