A hilarious incident in the Caribbean Premier League game between Guyana Amazon Warriors and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots grabbed eyeballs on social media on Monday.

Although the same teams played again in the eighth match of the tournament played on Sunday, this incident, that largely went unnoticed until a social media user pointed it out, came from the fifth game between the same sides earlier last week.

Guyana batsman Shoaib Malik, who made 5 off 12 balls in the game, was seen batting with a plastic fork stuck beneath his shoe. The visuals came out after the reverse view from the stump cam was captured by the Twitter user during a replay.

The hilarious picture was shared multiple times on social media with captions leaving fans in splits. The original finder also made an error in the caption, labelling a fork as a spoon, further making for comical comments.

While it largely went unnoticed, the incident has also sparked confusion on how and why the fork got stuck under Malik’s shoes. As someone suggested, it could well be “Malik Eating Up Deliveries Literally”.
