Meet Haseebullah Khan, Pakistan’s U19 World Cup star
One from the factory of raw but talented cricketers that is Pakistan cricket, Haseebullah Khan is among the players to watch out for at the ICC U19 World Cup 2022 in the West Indies.
Khan made a spectacular start to the tournament with a match-winning hundred in Pakistan U-19s opening Group C fixture against Zimbabwe on Monday (January 17).
The left-hand batter blazed his willow for a superlative knock of 135 off 155 deliveries to help his country post a mammoth total of 315/9, which they later defended by a huge margin of 115 runs.
Haseebullah Khan top-scored in his very first outing at the youth World Cup, announcing his arrival at the big stage where Pakistan fans, the management and selectors will be hoping that he continues to dominate the batting charts from here on.

Haseebullah Khan, one to watch out for
Born in March 2003 in Pishin, Haseebullah Khan has been long viewed in the Pakistan circuit as one of the future stars of the game. The batter, who is also a good enough keeper, is very new to competitive cricket, though.
The 18-year-old is yet to make his senior List A or first-class debut but has been shining bright in age-group cricket thus far. Khan earned his maiden U-19 outing for Pakistan during the recently concluded youth Asia Cup in UAE.

Before that tournament, he played his breakthrough innings in the domestic U-19 competition. Facing Central Punjab U-19s, the elegant left-hand batter played a knock of 133 runs.
In a recent clip posted over Twitter by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Haseebullah Khan revealed his ambition is to represent Pakistan at the international stage, especially Test cricket.

The 18-year-old kid also named his favourite cricketers, with his current favourite being Fakhar Zaman and all-time favourite Mohammad Yousuf.
Khan, who has done his metric in Islamabad English Grammar High School, also has a favourite Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise in Quetta Gladiators.
