WATCH: The incredible emotions after National T20 Cup final in Pakistan

Sport is emotional and when it culminates in some incredible scenes like it did at the National T20 Cup in Pakistan last night, the memories are etched for life.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa beat Central Punjab in the finals of the tournament to win the title. Spurred by a sensational 45* off a mere 19 balls by Ifthikar Ahmed who enjoyed a terrific tournament, Khyber grabbed the title in the run chase. Having bowled Central Punjab out for 148, Khyber were behind the eight ball at the halfway stage in the run chase with just 69 runs coming off 10 overs with two wickets gone.

Kamran Ghulam’s wicket in the 13th over brought Ifthikar to the crease and he kicked Khyber into fifth gear soon. He smashed three fours and two sixes in the next two overs as Khyber brought the required run rate down considerably.

Three more fours in the 17th over sealed the chase and Ifthikar and the team celebrated in emphatic fashion!

With the ball, he picked up eight wickets at a miserly economy rate of 5.57, picking up a best of 3 for 5 in one game.
