India set to host South Africa women for a full series

The Indian Women’s team have finally had some reason for optimism after the BCCI invited the South African women’s team for five One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals although the dates and venues are yet to be chalked out.

The Indian women’s team haven’t played a single international game since the 2020 World T20 final which was supposed to be the new dawn in Indian cricket.

The players partook in a Women’s T20 Challenge following which they are not seen in action.

However, with the BCCI announcing the Women’s One-day Domestic tournament to kick start in February, Cricbuzz further reported that the South African women’s team, which is playing Pakistan currently, will play five ODIs and three T20Is in India.

“The details have been worked out and the announcement will come soon. We’re coordinating with Cricket South Africa. The dates will be out soon,” a BCCI official revealed.

India to have new support staff group soon

The Indian Women’s team will have a new support staff team and an advertisement for the same will be out very soon. Head coach WV Raman and bowling coach Narendra Hirwani spearheaded the side last time and they will want to have an extension by the Cricket Advisory Committee.
