India Legends are one of the six teams competing in the Road Safety World Series, 2021. The hosts will be led by the Master Blaster, Sachin Tendulkar who will roll back the years, opening the batting alongside Virender Sehwag.
Last year, the inaugural edition of the tournament had to be canceled midway owing to the coronavirus pandemic. However, the Indian Legends started off their campaign in a good fashion, winning both their opening encounters against West Indies and Sri Lanka.
Naman Ojha, Yusuf Pathan and Pragyan Ojha who announced their retirement from international cricket, are all a part of the India Legends squad.

Sachin Tendulkar, arguably one of the greatest cricketers the world has ever seen, is one of the most crucial players in the Indian squad. Sachin will open the batting alongside his old teammate, Virender Sehwag. Last year, the former Indian batsman scored just 36 runs in his two outings which included scores of 36 against West Indies Legends and a duck against Sri Lanka legends.
Although the inaugural edition of the tournament was called off after just four matches last year, the fans were treated to some swashbuckling hitting from the former Indian all-rounder, Irfan Pathan. Reeling at 62-4, chasing a target of 139 against Sri Lanka legends, it was Irfan Pathan’s knock of 57 runs in just 31 balls that guided India to their second victory.
Back in his playing days, Virender Sehwag was one of the most feared batters in the world cricket because of his attacking mentality. He forms a vital part of the India Legends squad. He was instrumental in guiding India to a victory against West Indies last year, after he scored 74 runs in just 57 balls.
