Kagiso Rabada, one of the best all-format pacers at present, narrowly missed out on a well-deserved Purple cap last season but is right on track for the cap this season. He has found a terrific partner in Anrich Nortje, the replacement for Chris Woakes, who has been one of the reasons why DC have managed to kill the chases for the opposition batsmen.

While Rabada has been a freak as far as wicket taking is concerned, Nortje at the other end has made life difficult for opposition batsmen by bowling tough lines and lengths. Both of them bowling with economy below 9 in death overs has resulted in DC being the best death bowling unit this season, cocneding just 9.65 runs per over. This has given Delhi enough confidence to defend any total. And the pace with which they bowl might just be what is needed to stop the rampaging Pollard and Pandya brothers at the death.

Rabada and Nortje to star in MI vs DC clash?

Both the speedsters have been good with the variations, but have relied more on fast short of length balls, which batsmen have found difficult to slog in death overs. Rabada in particular has been successful in getting the dismissals with short balls, picking a wicket every 5 balls when he has bowled bouncers or short lengths. Both of them have very good yorkers in their armory too, which at the pace at which they bowl become even more lethal.

It is no hidden fact that Pollard and the Pandya brothers have been troubled by fast short of length balls, and in Rabada and Nortje, Delhi have the arsenal to get the better of MI as far as the battle of death overs is concerned.
