Here are a few players Rajasthan Royals can target in the trading window-
Rajasthan Royals have a solid batting lineup consisting of Jos Butler, Ben Stokes and Sanju Samson. However, after trading Uthappa to CSK and releasing Steve Smith, RR will look forward to finding some replacements. Mitchell Marsh, currently a part of the SRH squad would be a good choice for Rajasthan Royals, considering the fact that the Australian solves their middle-order problem.
It is expected that Ben Stokes and Jos Butler will open the innings for RR, as they did in the last part of the 2020 season with Samson coming in at number three. Marsh at number four will make their batting lineup look more resolute and complete.
Josh Hazelwood, the tall Australian pacer who is a part of the CSK squad, is a player Rajasthan can target in the trading window. RR are short on their fast bowling options with the likes of Jaydev Unadkat and Jofra Archer being the most prominent ones. Moreover, the franchise released Ankit Rajpoot, Oshane Thomas, Tom Curran, Varun Aaron which shows their intentions of revamping their pace department.
Siddarth Kaul is another pacer which RR can target in the trading window which closes on February 4. Kaul played just one game for Sunrisers Hyderabad last season and seven games in the season before. He rose to prominence in the 2017 and 2018 seasons, where he picked up 16 and 21 wickets respectively.
However, with the emergence of T.Natarajan and the the likes of other pacers in the SRH squad, Sandeep Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jason Holder, Kaul has been getting lesser opportunities every season. He can be a great addition to the RR squad, who will be looking forward to add a few Indian pacers to their squad.
