Few players Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) can target in the trading window are:
Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) released Sheldon Cottrell which leaves the bowling department depleted. Jimmy Neesham, another fast bowling option was released by the franchise and there will be no surprise to see Punjab looking for replacements in the trading window and the auction.
Chris Woakes, currently a part of the Delhi Capitals can be a sound addition to the squad given the fact that he can share the new ball alongside Chris Woakes. The Englishman is not certain to start every match for the Capitals as they possess the South African duo of Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje in their squad.
KXIP released the Afghanistan spinner, Mujeeb ur Rahman which leaves them without a recognized off-spinner in the squad. Murugan Ashwin and Ravi Bishnoi are both leg-spinners and Punjab will be looking forward to add variety in their spin bowling department.
Chennai Super Kings have plenty of spin bowling options which includes Mitchell Santner. Given the overseas limit in the playing level and the depth in the Chennai spin attack, Santner can make his move to Punjab. The Kiwi off-spinner is a clever bowler and can bowl exceptionally well in the sub-continental conditions.
David Miller, the hard-hitting Proteas batsman will be a great addition to the Punjab side after they released Glenn Maxwell before the auction. Punjab still lack a proven finisher in their current squad and they will consider a few options before the trading window expires. Miller, a part of the Rajasthan Royals squad was picked by the franchise in 2019. Miller has previously played for Punjab between 2013-2018, having competed in 79 matches for the franchise.
