SRH vs KKR, Match 3: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will clash in the third game of the IPL at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium. SRH finished on the third spot last season, after they were defeated by Delhi Capitals in the Qualifier 2. The Orange Army reached the playoffs for a fifth consecutive season and have been one of the most consistent sides in IPL.
Kolkata Knight Riders finished on the fifth spot, after they marginally missed out on a playoffs spot. KKR are the third most successful side in IPL history, winning two IPL titles in 2012 and 2014. Eoin Morgan will lead the side this season, after Dinesh Karthik stepped down from captaincy midway through the last season.

SRH: David Warner (C), Jonny Bairstow (WK), Manish Pandey, Vijay Shankar, Priyam Garg, Mohammad Nabi, Abdul Samad, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma and T Natarajan
David Warner is the only player to have won the Orange Cap on three occasions in 2015, 2017 and 2019. The Australian will open the batting alongside another explosive Englishman, Jonny Bairstow. Bairstow is coming on the back of an incredible ODI series against India, and is expected to carry on with his good performances. This means that there is no room for Kane Williamson in the team.
Manish Pandey and Vijay Shankar will come in at number three and four respectively, with Priyam Garg also being a part of the middle-order. Mohammad Nabi is expected to feature in the first game, because of the assistance the Chennai wicket gives to the spinners.
Rashid Khan is a sure starter for SRH, and has spun his magic with the ball since the past four seasons. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma and T Natarajan will handle the pace bowling department for the Orange Army. T.Natarajan was a certain revelation last season, and made his international debut in all three formats of the game.

Shubman Gill will continue to open the batting for KKR this season. Nitish Rana is expected to be his new opening partner, with Shakib Al Hasan coming in at number three. Eoin Morgan, Dinesh Karthik and Andre Russell will form a formidable middle-order.
Andre Russell had a poor season last year, where he put up poor performances with both bat and ball. The West Indian will hope to do better this time around. Rahul Tripathi is expected to bat at number seven, with Pat Cummins coming in at number eight.
Prasidh Krishna earned his ODI debut against England after a stellar domestic season. Varun Chakravarthy is expected to get the nod over Kuldeep Yadav and Harbhajan Singh, after an impressive showing last season, where he picked up 20 wickets. Shivam Mavi will complete the bowling attack for the Knight Riders.
