Sunrisers retained the core of their team heading into the IPL 2021 season. Mujeeb ur Rahman was purchased by the franchise in the auction, who will join his international teammates, Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan. Kedar Jadhav, who was released by CSK, was also purchased by Hyderabad in the auction.

David Warner was the top scorer for SRH last season

David Warner

David Warner, skipper of SRH had another successful season with the bat, scoring 548 runs in his 16 innings at an average of 39.14. The left-hander will continue to open the batting for his franchise and will hope to carry his team to the title this year.

Jonny Bairstow

Jonny Bairstow will open the batting alongside David Warner. The English batsman was dropped from the side in the last few matches last year, as Jason Holder cemented his place in the lineup. Bairstow scored 345 runs in 11 innings at an average of 31.36.

Manish Pandey

Manish Pandey enjoyed a good season with the bat last year, scoring 425 runs in his 15 innings at an average of 32.69. However, the Indian batsman is capable of doing better and will hope to do well this year, as he will come in at number three for SRH.

Priyam Garg

Priyam Garg burst into the scene last year, playing 14 matches for SRH. The young Indian managed to score 133 runs in his 14 innings. Garg is a talented player and he is expected to be a long term prospect for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

West Indies skipper Jason Holder picked up 14 wickets last year

Vijay Shankar

Vijay Shankar played just seven matches for his side last year, scoring 97 runs at an average of 24.25. With the ball, the Indian all rounder managed to pick up six wickets. Shankar is expected to feature in the playing eleven ahead of Kedar Jadhav.

Abdul Samad

Abdul Samad, the 19 year old Indian is expected to feature in the playing eleven. Samad did not get much of a chance to bat last year, but displayed his hard hitting prowess when he was called upon to do so. He can prove to be a handy bowler and can chip in with a few overs.

Jason Holder

Jason Holder was one of the players who turned around the season for SRH. The West Indian all-rounder bagged 14 wickets in just seven matches at an average of just under 17. Holder also played a good innings with the bat against RCB, guiding SRH to the qualifier 2.

Rashid Khan picked up 20 wickets last season

Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Bhuvneshwar Kumar played just four matches for SRH last season, and was ruled out of the season due to an injury. Kumar picked up three wickets in his four games at an average of 33. However, he is back in contention for the 2021 season and will lead a strong SRH pace attack.

T.Natarajan

The left-arm pacer was one of the finds of last season. His good performances in IPL, led to his debut against Australia in all three formats. Natarajan picked up 16 wickets in his 16 outings at an average of just over 31. His performances in the death overs, impressed one and all.

Sandeep Sharma

Sandeep Sharma had another impactful season with the ball last year, as he picked up 14 wickets in his 13 outings at an average of 26.71. The Indian pacer stopped the flow of runs in the early stages and provided crucial breakthroughs up front.

Rashid Khan

Rashid Khan picked up 20 wickets in the last season at an average of 17.20. He bowled at an economy of just 5.37 and was one of the standout performers for Hyderabad last year. He will continue to lead the spin bowling department for Hyderabad and look forward to having another great season.
