Scotland recorded an excellent chase against the Dutchmen and are hence coming into this tournament with a commendable positive momentum behind them. However, Ireland’s opening encounter against Netherlands was abandoned due to rains and hence this would be their chance to possibly register their maiden victory in the tri-series.
Mostly sunny weather with absolutely no chances of rain and the temperature ranging around 14 degrees Celsius is expected during the course of the game.
Yesterday, there was an absolute run-feast on offer at the Village in Dublin and hence a similarly conducive batting track could be up yet again when the home side plays within a few hours.
Predicted Playing XI:
Paul Stirling provides solidity at the top of the order whilst Kevin O’Brien’s batting prowess would be required by the Irishmen as well. George Dockrell and Boyd Rankin would be the crucial players with the ball for the home side.
Paul Stirling, Kevin O’Brien, Andrew Balbirnie, Gary Wilson (C), Lorcan Tucker, Mark Adair, Shane Getkate, Gareth Delany, George Dockrell, Boyd Rankin, Craig Young
George Munsey looks to be in a good run of form and hence he along with Kyle Coetzer will hold the key in the batting order. Aalsdair Evans and Craig Wallace are the other two members who would be banked upon to step up with their performances in this match.
George Munsey, Kyle Coetzer (C), Matthew Cross, Calum MacLeod, Richie Berrington, Craig Wallace, Michael Leask, Alasdair Evans, Safyaan Sharif, Adrian Neill, Mark Watt
George Munsey walks into the Dream XI side considering the kind of form that he is in currently. Paul Stirling, Craig Wallance and Mark Adair are others who could be expected to carve a sizable impact in the game.
