WATCH: English Crowd taunts Siraj; he turns around and shows them the series scoreline
Mohammed Siraj has been a hot topic in Indian cricket ever since he set foot on English soil. After he shushed down England batsmen after dismissing them in the first two Tests, the England fans haven’t taken to him very kindly.
On Wednesday, during the third session of the third Test at Headingley, Siraj was at the receiving end of some taunts by England fans near the boundary line.
Apparently, someone near the boundary rope threw a pink ball near Siraj and the Indian quick turned around to retort almost immediately.
Signalling 1-0, indicating the series scoreline, Siraj, without a finger to his lips, shushed the crowd.

Cricket twitter lit up at Siraj’s animated response to the crowd, whose behaviour has been under scrutiny. One Twitter user cheekily pointed out: “These English fans have no idea who they are messing with”.
Whichever way that story goes, India’s 1-0 series lead appears to be in precarious position at close of play on day 1 with England 120/0, 42 runs ahead after bowling India out for 78 in the first innings.
