The 2021 edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL 2021) started on July 19 (Monday) with the first match between Lyca Kovai Kings and Salem Spartans.

A total of eight teams — Lyca Kovai Kings, Salem Spartans, Dindigul Dragons, Ruby Trichy Warriors, Nellai Royal Kings, Chepauk Super Gillies, IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans and Madurai Panthers — are taking part in the contest and will be fighting for the title. Most Runs in TNPL 2019

N Jagadeesan of Dindigul Dragons scored the most runs in TNPL 2019. He amassed 448 runs in 10 matches, at an excellent average of 64. He had a highest score of 105* in the tournament, which came against Ruby Trichy Warriors.

Most Runs in TNPL 2018

It was KB Arun Karthik from Siecham Madurai Panthers who made the most runs in TNPL 2018. He scored 472 runs during the season, including six fifties. He was adjudged the Player of the Match OK five occasions as well and was later adjudged the Player of the Tournament as well.

Most Runs in TNPL 2017

Present India international Washington Sundar scored the highest number of runs in TNPL 2017. Sunday scored 459 runs, which included a century and three fifties. He was adjudged Player of the Match on four occasions during the series and was also named the Player of the Tournament later on.

Most Runs in TNPL 2016

N Jagadeesan from the Dindigul Dragons was once again the highest run-getter from the 2016 edition. He scored 397 runs back then at an average of 56.71. He has always been a consistent performer since then and has been among the top run-getters in each edition.
