Former Mumbai Indians player mocks Dhoni, CSK and then takes on RCB fan

Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings will kick off the second half of IPL 2021 in less than 24 hours, with both sides well in contention to add to their already glorious tally of IPL titles. The rivalry between these sides has only been getting more intense with every passing year and now it’s not just the fans, but also the cricketers who represented these franchises who are getting in on it.

Former Kiwi cricketer Scott Styris’s put out a tweet, looking forward to tomorrow’s clash between Mumbai and Chennai. While asking for a prediction for tomorrow’s game from fans, he slyly mentions that his former IPL franchise, CSK, will emerge victoriously. He also mentioned that he is desperately waiting for the battle between the two most successful captains in IPL, MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma.

In a hilarious response to Styris, former Mumbai Indians cricketer Mitchell McClenaghan responded “Are we even debating with” with some laughing emojis. McClenaghan, who picked up 71 wickets for Mumbai during his time at the club, is a clear fan of his former employer.

Mumbai Indians fan vs Virat Kohli fan

In response to the Kiwi bowler’s tweet, a Virat Kohli fan page account tried to be the diplomat in this situation, only to be at the receiving end of another savage response from McClenaghan. “Mitch I bet CSK will be giving tough fight ..MI won’t win easily..,” the Kohli fan account mentioned, to which McClenaghan mentioned “Closer fight than RCB”.

This resulted in comments war between fans of Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore, but the left-arm fast bowler stayed out of any further discussion. The game begins at 7.30 pm IST on Sunday, with no side entering as clear favorites. However, the way Mumbai Indians knocked Chennai out in their previous meeting this IPL will make the yellow army fight it out with all their hearts.
