India fast bowler Navdeep Saini got his social media game hilariously wrong as his Twitter account was seen making a tweet exactly the time he is bowling in the middle of a cricket match.

Saini funnily made a tweet from his official handle while at the same time he was rolling his arm over in South Africa.

The incident is related to Saini’s 29th birthday, which is coinciding with the first day of the opening unofficial Test between India A and South Africa A happening in Bloemfontein.

Navdeep Saini involved in a funny social media incident

Navdeep Saini is in South Africa with the India A side.

As Navdeep Saini went through his delivery strides in a first-class match against South Africa A at the Mangaung Oval in the rainbow nation, a tweet from his official Twitter handle caught everyone’s attention.

Saini responded to a birthday wish on Twitter from veteran wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik while he was in person bowling in Bloemfontein to the Proteas batters.

Given the time-lapse, the tweet was obviously done by Saini’s social media team and not himself. But this mistake wouldn’t have caught people’s eye if not for a Twitter account going by the name of ‘Tom Carpenter’, who posted a picture of Saini bowling to South African batter.

The tweet from Saini was made at 2:29 PM IST, while the screengrab that the fan posted was at 2:42 PM IST. Even with the fact that it would’ve taken this fan at least a bit of time to take the picture from the live stream and post it on Twitter, the tweet is funnily not far from the moment Saini ran up to bowl the 14th over of the South African innings, as displayed on the screen.

In South Africa, Navdeep Saini has a fantastic opportunity to impress the selectors through the ‘A’ series and bring himself back in the reckoning for India colours for the all-format trip that the senior national side will be making to the rainbow nation for next month.

Saini has fallen out of favour for India since the tour of Australia last winter. The pacer was part of the alternate squad that visited Sri Lanka in July but looked woefully out of form and rhythm.

Undoubtedly a talented raw speedster, he has played 2 Tests, 8 ODIs and 11 T20Is for the country.
