NEP vs OMN Dream11 Fantasy Preview and Prediction:

The 4th match of the Nepal Tri-series will see the hosts taking on Oman at the TUICG stadium in Kirtipur on Sunday. Although Nepal couldn’t win the very first ODI to have been played in the country when they lost the first match against Oman, the win over USA on Saturday would have give renewed hope for the rising cricketing nation.

As always, Nepal found themselves in trouble as they lost half their side for just 49 runs but a fantastic 84-run stand between wicket-keeper Binod Bhandari and 15-year-old debutant Kushal Malla revived the inning. Although Malla fell soon after becoming the youngest men’s cricketer to score a fifty in ODIs, Bhandari stayed till the end while some of the Nepali tailenders got out inexplicable fashion with several overs left in the inning. In the end, Nepal managed to somehow muster up a total of 190 before getting all-out with four balls left in the inning.

If Nepal had gotten off to a poor start in their inning, USA found themselves in a more precarious situation as they were reduced to 27-5 by the duo of Karan KC and Sandeep Lamichhane. Although the half-centurion from the game against Oman, Ian Holland came up with a fantastic 75-run knock once again, there was a complete lack of support from the other end as USA fells short by 35 runs.

As far as Oman are concerned, the series has gone swimmingly for them until now with two wins out of two matches. While Oman defended a below par total of 197 in the first match against Nepal, the second match against USA saw them pace tricky chase of 214 to perfection. It was the half-centuries from Aqib Ilyas and Mohammad Nadeem that helped Oman register a six-wicket victory to achieve the dual task of beating USA and also go level on points with them with respect to the ICC CWC League 2 campaign.

In spite of Nepal’s impressive over USA, Oman will still go into this match as the favourite given their unbeaten start to the series.

Weather Conditions

The weather has been beautiful throughout this series and the same should continue on Sunday too as there is no chance for rain at all. A maximum temperature of 18-degree celsius can be expected in the morning hours while some cold weather could be prevalent as the days goes on.

Pitch Report

In spite of Oman’s clinical chase against USA, it has pretty evident that the Kirtipur track is far better while batting first. At the same time, pacers have enjoyed bowling on these tracks with Karan KC also going to pick up a four-wicket haul against USA on Saturday.

NEP v OMN Dream11 Fantasy Picks:

Nepal

Kushal Malla: When 15-year-old Kushal Malla was calmly batting in the middle in order to get his team to a respectable total, it has hard to not wonder how the youngster is so good at this age. Apart from playing some delightful shots on his way to a fifty, Malla also showed his value with the ball by dismissing Elmore Hutchinson in a very tight ten-over spell.

Karan KC: Nepal’s best player in these two games by a big margin, seam bowler Karan KC has bowled superbly to pick up eight wickets so far. Karan is also a more than useful batsman who plays in the lower middle-order for Nepal.

Oman

Mohammad Nadeem: All-rounder Mohammad Nadeem had starred in the previous matches with two fifties and four wickets. With Nepal susceptible against fast bowling, Nadeem might be in the thick of the action on Sunday too.

Bilal Khan: Left-arm fast bowler Bilal Khan is almost always a top pick as he has been a consistent performer over the last few years. In the last two matches, he has picked up four wickets.
