New Zealand vs Bangladesh ODI Series 2021: Full Squad, Live Streaming, Where To Watch, Captain And Key Players

New Zealand will return to ODI action after almost a year as they host Bangladesh for a three match ODI series, followed by a three match T20I series. The Kiwis last played an ODI match in March last year, before the series against Australia was canceled midway owing to the covid-19 pandemic.

The first ODI will be played in Dunedin on March 20, with the last one being played in Wellington on Match 26. Kane Williamson has been rested for the series, giving him enough time recover from his elbow injury. In Williamson’s absence, Tom Latham will lead the Black Caps. Bangladesh will be without the services of their key all-rounder, who misses the tour after being granted a paternity leave by BCB.

Tom Latham, skipper of the Black Caps will come in at number five. Latham has proved to be a huge asset for New Zealand and has cemented his place in playing eleven. Latham will be playing his 100th ODI on March 20. So far, he has scored 2696 runs in 92 innings at an average of 32.87.

Trent Boult will lead the bowling attack for the hosts alongside Tim Southee. Boult has proved to be a match winner for the Kiwis on several occasions in the past. He has picked up 164 wickets in 90 ODIs at an average of 25.29 and an economy of just over 5.

In the absence of Shakib Al Hasan, the pressure will be on Tamim Iqbal to have a good series with the bat. The left-hander has amassed 7360 runs in his ODI career at an average of just under 37, which included 13 tons and 49 half-centuries.

Mahmudullah is another experienced player in the Bangladesh squad. He has scored 4143 runs in his ODI career at an average of 34.23. He is also a handy bowler, picking up 76 wickets and has a decent economy of 5.17.
