The Northern Warriors will take on the Deccan Gladiators in the 18th match of the 2021 Abu Dhabi T10 League at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on 2nd February at 10 PM IST.
After losing their first game, the Northern Warriors have managed to bring their campaign back on track in fine style by winning their next three games. The likes of Waseem Muhammad, skipper Nicholas Pooran and the experience of Lendl Simmons have helped them immensely so far.
Although Deccan Gladiators were third in their group and began the ‘Super League’ phase with a loss, they would be buoyed by skipper Kieron Pollard’s welcome return to form. The likes of Sunil Narine and Cameron Delport can also help the Gladiators take-off on their day.
As far as head-to-head is concerned, these two have played each other only once, and the Northern Warriors had comfortably got the better of the Deccan Gladiators.

Waseem Muhammad finally seemed to hit his straps with a brilliant match-winning 76 in his last game. Thus he would be in fine form and could be a dark horse to do well against the Deccan Gladiators.

Sunil Narine has been a dangerous all-rounder in the shorter formats and hasn’t quite yet hit the straps as a batsman this season. However, he still remains a big name that can fire in any game and thus is not a bad choice for a vice-captain.

It might well be a showdown of the captains as Kieron Pollard looked to be in great touch in his last game. If he can get a few in the middle, we might be in for a Pollard masterclass against the Warriors.
