NZ-W vs SA-W Dream11 Fantasy Preview and Prediction:

For quite some time, the South African Women’s team had become a side that has potential but one that cannot convert into results. However, the visitors seemingly wanted to change that outlook as they outplayed New Zealand in the 1st ODI.

New Zealand did bat well after choosing to bat first with the likes of Suzie Bates and Katie Perkins registering fine half-centuries but their eventual total of 259-9 proved to be too less against an enterprising South African line-up. In fact, Lizelle Lee and Laura Wolvaardt were at their very best as South Africa managed a mammoth 163-run partnership. Even though Lee was desperately unlucky to miss out on a well-deserved ton by just one run, the Proteas women coasted home with eleven balls to spare.

With them already languishing at 6th spot in the ICC Women’s Championship table, the hosts can’t afford anymore slip-ups and this might force a strong comeback in the second ODI.

Weather Conditions

Once again, the overhead conditions should be pretty pleasant for this match-day. With a maximum temperature of 26 degrees, the day is expected to be vary from being sunny to cloudy during the morning hours.

Pitch Report

Just like the first ODI, this match is also expected to witness a lot of runs given the batting friendly nature of this ground. Interestingly, fast bowlers and medium pacers picked all of the twelve wickets to fall in the first match. It remains to be seen whether the spinners will come to the equation this time around.

NZ-W vs SA-W Dream11 Fantasy Picks

New Zealand Women

Sophie Devine: The ace all-rounder didn’t have a great outing in the first match as she was able to score only 27 runs while also being very expensive with the ball. However, her ability can’t be discounted especially after returning from Australia in a rich vein of form.

Suzie Bates: The former White Ferns skipper played decently in the previous fixture to score a half-century but her team might want runs at a quicker rate in the second ODI. With the Eden Park Outer Oval being batting-friendly, a blitz from Bates can’t be ruled out.

South Africa Women

Laura Wolvaardt: The young sensation Laura Wolvaardt continued her consistent performances with a superb 91-run knock in the first ODI. Given the fact that Wolvaardt was also the leading run-scorer in the 50-over format during the tour of India last year, South Africa’s trust on the opening batter keeps on increasing with every match.

Ayabonga Khaka: The underrated medium-pacer, Masabata Klaas will be another one to watch out for. In the first ODI, Khaka struck crucial blows to remove dangerous batters like Suzie Bates and Katie Perkins. Since the beginning of 2018, Khaka has, in fact, been South Africa’s second leading wicket-taker with 25 scalps from 14 matches.
