The first game on Monday pits favourites, Netherlands against Asian side, Nepal at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground. Colin Ackermann’s introduction to international cricket for the Dutch side didn’t go as planned as Ireland inflicted a defeat on them. With the half way mark of this short tournament approaching, Netherlands would love to get a win under their belts although Nepal is dangerous on such kinds of pitches. As seen in the recently concluded Singapore T20-I series, Nepal did give a scare to Zimbabwe with Paras Khadka and Sandeep Lamichhane starring for them in the series itself.

He comes into the tournament on the back of fairly successful T20 Blast for Somerset and will be key to their fortunes.

Aarif Sheikh scored 72 runs in three outings for Nepal in the Singapore T20 series and would be one to watch out for along with Dipendra Airee.
