One from the never-dying factory of Pakistan’s raw but talented pacers, Mohammad Zeeshan, is all set to rock the forthcoming U-19 World Cup in the Caribbean. Zeeshan is notably 6 foot 8 inches tall and has a very high-arm release to go with his alarming speed in the air and off the deck.

His great height, combined with the pace, helps Zeeshan extract steep bounce off the surface. The pacer has been making life extremely difficult for batters in his age bracket and is considered one to watch out for by the national selectors in Pakistan.

Pakistan-based Saj Sadiq posted a clip of Mohammad Zeeshan in full flow on Monday (January 3) where the pacer is seen running in against the UAE U-19 batters in the recently concluded U-19 Asia Cup in the Middle East.

The clip of Mohammad Zeeshan unleashing his wrath on hapless UAE U-19 batters went viral over Twitter as fans lauded the youngster’s ability to generate such amazing pace and bounce at the age of only 19.

Making his U-19 debut for Pakistan with a Group A encounter of the youth Asia Cup on December 27 at the ICC Academy Ground, Zeeshan bowled his nine overs for only 34 runs and picked up two crucial wickets in his team’s 21-run victory.

Zeeshan helped Pakistan U-19 keep the UAE U-19s at bay despite having posted only 219/8 in the first half. But it is not the wickets but the raw talent that stood out for anyone who saw the young quick operate for those nine overs.

Pakistan will hope that Mohammad Zeeshan has a great U-19 World Cup in the Caribbean and emerge as one of the players who can swiftly transition upto to the senior domestic level, strong performances where would give him the chance to represent his country in international cricket.

Pakistan are part of Group C in the much-awaited competition alongside Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and Papua New Guinea. They’ll play their first match on January 15 against PNG, followed by the tussle with Afghanistan U-19s on January 20 and Zimbabwe on January 22. A place in the top two within their group will give the side entry into the knock-outs stage.
