Northern Pakistan is placed in in the third spot of the points table as they have won once and lost once in two matches that they have participated in so far. Sindh, on the other hand, have won twice and lost once in three matches and are comparatively better placed in the second spot despite having attained the same number of points such as Balochistan but being lower with respect to them in terms of NRR.
National T20 Cup 2019
Northern Pakistan vs Sindh
Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad
October 17th, 2019
6:00 PM IST
Partly cloudy weather with 24% chances of rain and the temperature ranging around 29 degrees Celsius is expected during the course of the game.
The track at Faisalabad could be expected to be a beauty to bat on for the batsmen as its generally flat nature would allow them the opportunity to score runs aplenty. However, cloudy conditions could possibly offer some assistance to the pacers early on in the innings.
Predicted Playing XI:
Imad Wasim will have to take massive responsibilities with both the bat and the ball whilst the likes of Mohammed Amir and Shadab Khan add further depth and quality to their lineup. Umar Amin and Asif Ali would be key with the willow for their side.
Imad Wasim (captain), Umar Amin (vice-captain), Asif Ali, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Nawaz, Naveed Malik, Rohail Nazir, Shadab Khan, Sohail Akhtar, Sohail Tanvir, Zaid Alam
Abid Ali and Asad Shafiq would have to shoulder the major responsibilities of the batting order whilst Saad Ali and Sarfaraz Ahmed would have to back them ably. Mohammad Hasnain and Sohail Khan would be the other two crucial players for the team.
Sarfaraz Ahmed (captain and wicketkeeper), Asad Shafiq (vice-captain), Abid Ali, Ahsan Ali, Anwar Ali, Kashif Bhatti, Khurram Manzoor, Mohammad Hasnain, Omair Bin Yousuf, Saad Ali, Sohail Khan
Ahsan Ali was in a terrific form in the previous match as he bagged up 64 runs of merely 37 deliveries and hence looks to be in a good enough touch to be considered for selection in the Dream XI side. He opens the batting, and hence could maximize the benefits that would be available for him in the first six overs of the game. Asif Ali played a fantastic knock of 93 runs in Northern’s last match against Central Punjab, whilst batting in the middle order. He along with Umar Amin, who scored 38 runs at a brisk pace appear to be the bankable options amongst the batsmen to put one’s faiths at. Imad Wasim and Sarfaraz Ahmed are others who can add up a considerable number of points eventually in the game.
