Virat Kohli disappoints as RCB batting crumbles under pressure

Royal Challengers Bangalore have batted quite well in their last two matches. The Challengers scored over 200 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders on a tough Chennai wicket. They chased down a target of 178 runs against Rajasthan Royals, without losing a single wicket. However, their batting crumbled under pressure on Sunday, as they managed to score just 122 runs, in response to CSK’s total of 191 runs.

Virat Kohli regained his form against RR, after he scored an unbeaten knock of 72 runs off just 47 balls. However, he failed to built on that momentum, and was dismissed for a score of just 8 runs. Devdutt Padikkal got off to a good start, scoring 34 runs in just 15 balls. Glenn Maxwell was looking comfortable in the middle, before he was clean bowled by Ravindra Jadeja. AB de Villiers and Dan Christian did not manage to make much of an impact, as RCB’s batting order faced a harsh reality check.
