The ever excited Mohammed Siraj played the instigator as fans witnessed another funny discussion between India skipper Virat Kohli and wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant related to a DRS review in the ongoing Test series against England.

After an amusing instance in the first Test at Trent Bridge where Kohli nearly denied Pant’s passionate request to go against an incorrect on-field call, the expressive duo indulged in one more funny, animated conversation with regards to the review.

The interesting discussion was on show after the tea break on Day 2 of the Lord’s Test. With Siraj making two telling blows to England with the successive dismissals of Dom Sibley and Haseeb Hameed, the pacer was bowling to England captain Joe Root and troubled him with an incomer that ruffled his front pad.

As Root’s head seems to be falling across a touch, Siraj was convinced that the ball is hitting the batsman in line with the stumps and went near Kohli to check whether they can go for another review.

Siraj did wear a slightly reluctant look about him as India had lost one LBW review already to Root during his previous over but he was still confident enough to look at Virat Kohli in hope and optimism.

This is where the fun began, though, as while Kohli had been evidently moved enough by Siraj’s request, Pant held his ground firm against the review and tried his best to ensure that the skipper isn’t pushed into making another incorrect decision.

One could see that Pant was clearly not in favour of going for the review by his hand gestures, even as Virat deliberated with a nervy smile on his face and Siraj watched both the individuals in anticipation without saying anything, perhaps hesitant himself having triggered one bad review in his previous over.

With time running out, Kohli had to make a quick decision and he went with Siraj’s word. But, much to his disbelief and disappointment, Pant was proven right again as the hawk-eye predicted the ball to be going down and missing the stumps by a decent enough margin.

Once the cameras panned on Virat Kohli after the replay, the skipper was seen talking in frustration to the close-in fieldsman while Pant quietly went back to his position for the next delivery.
