Tillakratne Dilshan
Tillakratne Dilshan was one of the most feared batsman in world cricket, back in his hay days. He invented the famous ‘Pallu Scoop’ which he used to great effect in the T20 format. Dilshan’s fiery knocks from the top of the order will certainly be important for the Asian side. Moreover, he picked up a few wickets in the last edition of the tournament, including three wickets against Australia Legends.
Sanath Jayasuriya
Sanath Jayasuriya who did not play a part in the last edition of the tournament, features in the squad this year. The explosive left-handed batsman will open the innings alongside his captain, Dilshan and the two can bat out the opposition from the game if they get their eye in.
Rangana Herath
Rangana Herath, the left-arm spinner is another key member in this Sri Lankan squad. The pitches are expected to spinner-friendly given the subcontinental conditions, hence Herath can back himself to be a match-winner on a day or two.
