RR vs KKR: Rajasthan Royals returned to winning ways as they secured a six-wicket victory over Kolkata Knight Riders in their final match at the Wankhede Stadium. Both teams had lost three out of their last four games, and were reeling at the bottom of the table. RR produced an all-round performance against KKR, handing Eoin Morgan’s men, their fourth consecutive defeat.

Sanju Samson won the toss and put the Knight Riders into bat. KKR managed to score just 133 runs in their 20 overs, after Chris Morris had four scalps to his name. Except the likes of Rahul Tripathi and Dinesh Karthik, no batsman looked comfortable out in the middle and struggled to score some crucial runs. In reply, RR chased down the total in 18.4 overs, to secure only their second win of the season. Sanju Samson and David Miller took their side past the finishing line, with well-composed knocks.

KKR will hope to see their star batsman hit top form at the earliest, as they languish at the bottom of the table.

Nitish Rana could manage to score just 22 runs, whereas, Rahul Tripathi was the only batsman who looked comfortable in the middle. Sunil Narine was promoted to number four, and scored just 6 runs. Eoin Morgan was run-out for a duck, without facing even a single delivery. This was the second consecutive match, where the KKR top-order failed to score runs. They were reduced to a score 61 runs for the loss of four wickets in just 10 overs.
