The Indian management team has launched a complaint about two of their pacers- Bumrah and Siraj, after they faced racial abuse from the crowd at the Sydney Cricket Ground during the on-going third Test match. It has been learnt that the abuse occurred on the second and third day of the Test.

At the end of the third day’s play, a bunch of senior players of the Indian team, led by captain, Ajinkya Rahane and R Ashwin spoke to the two umpires, Paul Reiffel and Paul Wilson, bringing to their notice the racial abuse faced by the Indian duo.

A discussion between the umpires, security officials and the Indian players continued for about five minutes after end of day’s play. The Indian contingent then stayed back in the dressing room for a while before the Indian security official had a chat with the security officers at the ground, along with ICC security personnel at the ground. The issue rests with ICC who will take further action if required.
