South Africa Legends are one of the six teams competing in the Road Safety World Series 2020-21. They will be led by the game’s most prolific all-rounder, Jonty Rhodes. The Protea legends played just one game last year before the tournament was called off owing to the covid pandemic. They defeated West Indies Legends by six wickets and still have four league games to play.
Jonty Rhode’s men will face Sri Lanka legends on March 8, followed by a clash against England on March 11.

Key Players for South Africa Legends
Jonty Rhodes played a vital role in South Africa legends’ victory over West Indies last year as he smashed 53 runs in just 40 balls to chase down a target of 144 runs. The skipper will hope to replicate his performance this year and guide his side to the title.
Makhaya Ntini is a part of the South Africa Legends squad this year, after missing out last year. Ntini was one of fiercest fast bowlers back in his days, and was known for his unique bowling action. Ntini will play a crucial part for his side and will be assigned the responsibility of bowling with the new ball as well as in the death overs.
Nicky Boje, the left-arm orthodox bowler will lead the spin bowling department for the South Africa Legends. Boje can also deliver with the bat, and can play crucial knocks from the middle order. The all-rounder was not a part of the squad in 2020, however, he confirmed his availability this year.
