India’s warm up match against Australia on Wednesday witnessed hilarious scenes as Rohit Sharma captained the side and Virat Kohli came onto bowl some of his unfancied medium pace that the world hasn’t seen in limited overs cricket since 2017.

Kohli, who is famous for bowling off the wrong foot, was set to bowl today after Rohit announced at the toss that he, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar will add up as sixth bowling options.

Kohli came onto bowl after india and Australia on the mat with three wickets inside the powerplay overs. With Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate Glenn Maxwell and Steve Smith at the crease, Kohli came into bowl his dibbly dobblies and Smith, evoking huge respect (make of that what you will), left the first ball alone.

As he pushed one down long-off for a single, Smith was seen imitating Kohli’s unique arm action as he releases the ball and laughing on his own, mocking the Indian skipper, all in good spirits.
