20th September 2019
Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill, Florida
7:15 PM IST
This will be the second meeting of these two sides in the space of three days. In their last meeting, USA recorded a comfortable victory and the game was pretty much a one-sided contest. The fans will be hoping for more of an even contest this time around and Namibia will look to provide a good account of themselves after a dismal first showing.
Scattered Thunderstorms are predicted which will delay the start of the game and the skies are expected to open up on regular intervals throughout the day leading to a rain-curtailed contest.
The slowness in the track will make it difficult for the batters to score runs while the spinners are destined to have a big say on the eventual result.
No notable injury concerns reported.
Probable Playing XI:
The likes of Xavier Marshall and Jaskaran Malhotra will have to step up after a poor batting display in the game against Papua New Guinea. Monank Patel was the sole shining light in the batting department and is a trustable presence in the middle order. Skipper Saurabh Netravalkar will lead the charge with the new ball.
Xavier Marshall, Jaskaran Malhotra(w), Steven Taylor, Monank Patel, Aaron Jones, Karima Gore, Timil Patel, Nisarg Patel, Elmore Hutchinson, Saurabh Netravalkar(c), Jasdeep Singh
Like their opponents, the batting didn’t fire in their first game and better performances will be expected of Stephen Baard and Gerard Erasmus. Zhivago Groenewald is the leader of the bowling attack and showed his class in the previous game by picking up three wickets from his nine overs.
Stephan Baard, Christi Viljoen, Gerhard Erasmus(c), Craig Williams, Zane Green(w), Jan Frylinck, JJ Smit, Bernard Scholtz, Zhivago Groenewald, JP Kotze, Karl Birkenstock
Monank Patel should be the first pick on your teamsheet as he has a sound technique and is in decent touch. Zhivago Groenewald will fancy his chances against the US top order and could be a smart addition to your Dream11 Team. Another interesting acquisition would be spinner Karima Gore, who could be a masterstroke on a surface that will provide plenty of assistance to the spinners.
