After clinching their first ODI win, the United States of America take on Namibia in the second match of the tri-series. This will be Namibia’s first match in the competition and they will look to make a good impression on their first outing whilst the home side attempts to make it two wins out of two with another victory here.
Bright sunny conditions are predicted with minimal chances of showers and temperature ranging around 33 degree Celsius expected during the game.
Given the sticky nature of the wicket, runs will be difficult to come by in the early stages of the game but the surface will improve for the batsmen as the game progresses. Choosing to field first would be a wise decision in this game.
No notable injury concerns reported.
Probable Playing XI:
United States of America:
Monank Patel and Aaron Jones are the key men in the batting department while the likes of Rusty Theron and Elmore Hutchinson are capable of providing a flurry during the latter stages of the innings. Karima Gore’s control and stinginess in his bowling make him the pick of the bowlers.
Xavier Marshall, Monank Patel, Steven Taylor, Aaron Jones, Jaskaran Malhotra (WK), Karima Gore, Timil Patel, Rusty Theron, Elmore Hutchinson, Nisarg Patel, Saurabh Netravalkar (C)
Skipper Gerhard Erasmus is Namibia’s most accomplished batter and he will take up the mantle of anchoring the innings for his side. JJ Smit is a talented all-rounder and offers balance to the team. Zhivago Groenewald will be the leader of the bowling attack.
Steven Baard, Karl Birkenstock, JP Kotze, Gerhard Erasmus (C), Craig Williams, JJ Smit, Zane Green (WK), Zhivago Groenewald, Christi Viljoen, Jan Frylinck, Bernard Scholtz
A responsible knock of 87 in the last game and his recent good form mean Aaron Jones should be the first name on the teamsheet. Karima Gore and JJ Smit would also be smart additions to your Dream11 team as the duo are crucial players for their respective sides.
