Both, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu belonged to the same group during the league stages and the team led by Dinesh Karthik emerged victorious in their previous match. They have been unbeaten in the tournament so far, but qualified to the last four on the basis of more wins as compared to Punjab in the group stages though the lack of a reserve day meant that Punjab’s omission without a result in the quarterfinals was met with grave criticism from the likes of Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh.

39% chances of scattered thunderstorms with the temperature ranging around 23 degrees Celsius is expected during the course of the game.
If the rain gods are kind enough, even then the nature of the track would be difficult to predict at incessant rains over the past few days could mean that the pitch could be a bit sluggish as such.
Predicted Playing XI:
Gujarat boast of a brilliant top order with Parthiv Patel and Priyank Panchal being tasked to marshal the batting with the likes of Manpreet Juneja and Axar Patel being expected to provide an acceleration late in the innings. Roosh Kalaria would be the key bowler for Gujarat.
Parthiv Patel (C & WK), Priyank Panchal, Dhruv Raval, Bhargav Merai, Manpreet Juneja, Axar Patel, Piyush Chawla, Roosh Kalaria, Chintan Gaja, Arzan Nagwaswalla, Karan Patel
Abhinav Mukund and Murali Vijay are in a good run of form right now and hence their presence along with that of Vijay Shankar and Dinesh Karthik in the middle-order give an excellent look to Tamil Nadu’s batting order. Ravichandran Ashwin is expected to return for Tamil Nadu’s semifinal clash and hence his arrival would be a massive benefit to the team’s fortunes too.
Murali Vijay, Abhinav Mukund, Baba Aparajith, Vijay Shankar, Dinesh Karthik (C & WK), Washington Sundar, Shahrukh Khan, Murugan Ashwin, T Natarajan, Ravi Ashwin, K Vignesh
Parthiv Patel has been in fine form throughout the course of the tournament, but more so in their last match against Delhi when the southpaw scored 76 runs from 60 deliveries that included 10 boundaries and a six. Chintan Gaja scalped three dismissals including the prized wicket of Shikhar Dhawan. He should be drafted in the XI too. Baba Aparajith racked up 56 runs for Tamil Nadu, and he has been in an incredible run of form in recent times with 526 runs in the entirety of the tournament. These three players can earn a notable number of points tomorrow.
