WATCH: Virat Kohli and Siraj overturn Pant’s call; can’t believe it after DRS is successful

The trio of India skipper Virat Kohli, pacer Mohammed Siraj and wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant were back at it again on Day 2 of the third Test against England in Headingley this Thursday (August 26).

After funny incidents related to the DRS earlier on the tour, the three players were once again involved in another amusing discussion before opting to send the matter upstairs.

This time, however, the roles were reversed and it was not Pant but Kohli who had the technology proving him right after being drawn into taking a review by Siraj.

Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant and Mohammed Siraj were involved in another funny DRS incident.

Virat Kohli, Siraj left pleasantly surprised after looking past Pant’s disapproval of a review

The review was taken off the final delivery in the 94th over of the England first-innings. Siraj, bowling to a well-set Dawid Malan, bowled a ball well down the leg-side to which the batter went for a flick with the aim to get a shot through the fine-leg region.

But the left-hander missed his stroke and the ball reached Pant, who wore a look completely in contrast to that of Siraj, Kohli and the rest of the Indian fielders as they got excited hearing a thin sound as the ball went past Malan’s willow and appealed.

Despite a loud shout, however, Virat Kohli didn’t look entirely convinced about it initially and had to be pushed into taking a review by Siraj while Pant looked on and tried to gesture to his skipper that it wouldn’t be the right thing to do.

Moments later, for once, it was Pant who was proved wrong as the reviews vindicated the belief shown by Siraj in urging Kohli to opt for the DRS.

As the giant screen at the stadium cleared that Malan had indeed nicked the ball, Siraj and the other Indian fielders went up in celebration and the skipper offered a big smile, looking pleasantly surprised by what had happened.
