The pacer had nearly completed his run-up and was about to enter his bowling action when the DJ played some sound in between the on-field action. Usually, the ground DJs go quiet and put the music systems on mute when the batter is about to face a delivery so as to not disturb the concentration of players involved.

But on this occasion, the DJ faltered and that resulted in an angry reaction from Stokes, who looked towards him and forced him to hide himself behind the music system. The scenes triggered laughs among the fans, with even the commentators failing to control themselves.

Stokes’ reaction hilariously led commentator Mark Butcher to say, the DJ at the ground in Barbados is going to be on the player’s list of things to eat at Christmas.

The drawn second Test at the Kensington Oval was a very fruitful one for Ben Stokes, who struck an exceptional 120 off 128 deliveries in the first innings of the encounter and backed that up with bowling figures of 2 for 65 in the first half.

The 30-year-old made his 11th Test hundred in Bridgetown to reassert his status as one of the world’s best Test match all-rounders. Stokes has now made 5,055 runs from 78 Tests at an average of 36.36 while also taking 172 wickets with his very handy fast-bowling.
