MS Dhoni provided a lot of joy to the generation of cricket-watching audience which was so used to watching him finish games at regular intervals. He continues to bring a smile to fans’ faces one way or the other, and after finishing the game in style against Delhi Capitals in the first qualifier, he was back at it.

This time around, it was a young girl in the stands who was earlier spotted in tears after Dhoni finished the game. The happy tears got to this young girl in the stands, but that soon turned into a smile.

The former Indian captain took time to sign a match ball and threw up in the stand where she was sitting. He was spotted having a conversation with Prithvi Shaw before he did so, and upon the request of a staff member, he signed the ball.

It wasn’t the intended girl who picked up the signed ball but was another kid who picked it up. Whilst they both kept fighting for the elusive memorabilia, the watching world smiled upon viewing the generous gesture from the Indian captain.

Captain cool provides a stellar finish for the fans to cherish

Hailed as one of the greatest finishers the game has seen, MS Dhoni promoted himself ahead of Ravindra Jadeja when the run chase was turning out to be critical. Jadeja was in terrific form and just when the fans were expecting him to arrive, Dhoni entered and started with a big six towards mid-wicket off Avesh Khan.

Rishabh Pant had given the final over to Tom Curran, despite Kagiso Rabada having one over left. Dhoni got three boundaries in the final over off his bowling, and steered Chennai Super Kings into their 9th IPL final, more than any other team in history.
