WATCH: Hazlewood’s sensational one-hand stop and back-hand roll to hit stumps from fine leg

Josh Hazlewood is not just a fantastic bowler, but he gives his 100% whenever he is on the field. He manages to provide some stellar moments on the field that make him worth every penny invested in him. The Chennai Super Kings are currently taking on the Sunrisers Hyderabad in Sharjah, where Hazlewood provided a brilliant moment on the field besides picking up three crucial wickets for his side.

In the 16th over of the game, Abdul Samad whipped hard at a full-toss from Dwayne Bravo, which seemed to be heading wide of the short fine-leg fielder. However, Hazlewood did a stunning job to get a hand on it and prevented a certain boundary. He got down on time to get a crucial left-hand on the ball, and did something spectacular on the follow-up as well.

He released the ball from his weaker hand almost immediately after stopping the ball, and the ball rolled across the ground and hit the stumps. While there was an element of luck involved at that moment, the athleticism to get hold of the ball grabbed attention. Hazlewood finished with figures of 3/3/24 in his 4 overs, picking up wickets of Jason Roy, Abhishek Sharma and Abdul Samad.

Josh Hazlewood desperate to prove himself in the IPL

Despite not getting off to the best off starts in the Indian Premier League, Josh Hazlewood is always keen on upping his game and proving his versatility. The Australian pacer played 3 games prior to today’s fixture, and managed just 3 wickets. However, a brilliant performance against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, which includes a crucial wicket of Jason Roy.

This performance should earn him the trust of MS Dhoni to continue further as Chennai Super Kings march along with the ambition of winning their fourth IPL title.
