The cricketers of the India Women’s and Pakistan Women’s team were involved in a heartwarming moment after Sunday’s Women’s World Cup match at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. Back in April 2021, Bismah Maroof, the skipper of the Pakistan Women’s team, went on an indefinite break as she was set to embrace motherhood.

Four months later in August, Maroof delivered her baby. Recently, the 30-year-old made her comeback in the World Cup and was appointed as the captain straightaway. Maroof also carried her baby to the ground. After the end of the game, the Indian cricketers spent some time with Maroof and her newborn baby.

The likes of Richa Ghosh, Shafali Verma, Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana were busy seeing the baby. Maroof was carrying her daughter in her arms and was patting her back. Maroof had a broad smile on her face as the Indian players tried to interact with the little kid.
