Marnus Labuschagne’s famous ‘Noooo!!’ for every instance he calls it a no-run to his partner seems to have caught on with the rest of the world as Scotland opener Oliver Davidson was seen following the Aussie batter’s footsteps during the ICC U-19 World Cup.

Labuschagne’s funny habit of calling the “no run!!!” loudly was being mimicked at the junior World Cup in the Caribbean on Monday (January 17) when Davidson was facing up against the West Indies bowlers in a Group D encounter.

The amusing resemblance and incident came to light via a funny clip posted by the ICC over their Instagram handle, with Oliver Davidson seen making interesting poses while leaving the ball outside off while also shouting “No!!” to his batting partner.

Oliver Davidson was Scotland’s lone-ranger with the bat in their fixture against the West Indies. The left-hand batter aged 17 made a fighting 43 off 93 balls at the top of the order, even as the rest of the Scottish batting unit struggled and their team collapsed to just 95 all out.

Davidson struck four fours during his watchful stay where he displayed greater technical acumen than the other Scotland U-19 batters against some disciplined and skillful bowling from the West Indies U-19 attack.

The knock of 43 was interestingly Davidson’s first major contribution with the willow in his early days in competitive cricket. The Scottish player is yet to make his List A or T20 debut but has featured in seven U-19 50-over games.

In these matches, he has shined more as a bowler, delivering spells of 1/19 and 2/50 in the youth World Cup so far with his left-arm spin. Last year, during the U-19 series versus Ireland, Davidson took a five-fer (5/23) in Almeria.
