Moeen Ali has been one of England’s preferred Test and limited-overs spinner for a while now. The off-spinner has represented the country in 64 Tests, 112 ODIs and 38 T20Is with over 300 international wickets to his name.
While he has been an able support bowler in ODIs and T20Is, Moeen’s Test match feats are also quite decent. The experienced offie has now taken 195 wickets for England in the game’s traditional format.
In all first-class cricket, Moeen Ali has bagged nearly 400 scalps (382) from 198 games that he has played so far at the age of 34.

When Moeen Ali turned into a seamer
Everyone understands and respects what Moeen Ali has to offer to England and Worcestershire as an off-spinner. But how many of us know that the spinner once turned into a paceman as well when his team required and made a difference by picking up a wicket?
The incident is from a Division 1 game of the County Championship back in the 2018 England summer. Moeen, playing for his club Worcestershire against Yorkshire, got the opposition right-hander Jack Brooks edging a ball to the wicketkeeper.
Moeen only ambled through his run-up like a dibly-dobley seam bowler but got Brooks nicking behind following an attempted cut short wide of his off-stump.

Worcestershire keeper Ben Cox took a comfortable catch as Moeen started celebrating the wicket with the rest of his teammates.
In context of the match, it was an important breakthrough for Worcestershire provided by Moeen, who turned into a seamer recognising the nature of the track which was offering the pacers decent amount of seam movement.
Moeen got Brooks out when was well set on 82 not out and eyeing a major score, which would’ve given Yorkshire a more sizeable lead than they eventually got. They were out for a first-innings total of 428 in response to Worcestershire’s 340.
