WATCH: West Indies players stage mock DRS review in locker room during rain break

With rain playing spoilsport and washing out the entire day’s play on Saturday (August 21) in the second Test against Pakistan in Jamaica, West Indies cricketers were seen trying to cheer each other up with fun and games in their dressing room.

The Calypso Kings were seen playing an alternate game of cricket via a softer ball within the locker room and sharing a few laughs that would’ve lifted the players’ spirits on what was a dull, rain-marred afternoon.

A funny incident came to light during this game where even a different form of DRS got involved in making a decision.

Warrican takes mock DRS in West Indies’ change-room match in Jamaica

Spinner Jomel Warrican was seen calling for a mock review following an LBW shout from speedster Chemar Holder before ex skipper Jason Holder had to intervene and make a clear decision.

Warrican shouldered arms to a ball shaping away from him to see the bowler and the entire fielding unit jump up in appeal. The matter was sent upstairs by the batsman before an amusing close verification of the ball trajectory was mimicked by one of the players.

After this, Holder was seen acting as if he is directly engaged with the on-field umpires and then a decision was made public through the giant screen.

Although it seemed that the ball might be missing the imaginary off-stump, Holder took the mickey out of Warrican and urged the on-field umpire to still signal ‘Out’. The batter, therefore, had no option but to leave his crease and go back to the pavilion.
