Non-Fungible Tokens are digital data units stored on a blockchain ledger. Every single NFT acts as an authentication certificate that proves that the said asset is unique and it also gives sole ownership to the person that owns it. The underlying technology, blockchain, allows anyone to verify the ownership and authenticity of the NFT. Generally, most digital items can be reproduced, but not NFT which has a unique digital signature and is, therefore, one of a kind.
