A school teammate’s relative has now revealed that the relationship between the duo turned sour quite a while back because of a financial mishappening.

Financial issue drowns trust between MS Dhoni and elder brother Narendra

This user unveiled on Reddit that MS Dhoni lost trust on his brother and decided to cut ties with him after Narendra gifted away a charity old age home that the former India captain paid to build in Ranchi.

The Reddit user explained that Narendra developed a never mending rift in his duel with Dhoni, who had trusted him with money to build an old age home.

But Narendra gifted that space away to his in-laws and that disturbed Dhoni a lot. The cricketer decided then to build the old age home by himself in Ranchi but never had the same, healthy relationship with his brother.

“I have seen people calling him money-minded so going to share a personal trivia about him..dhoni is youngest of three siblings..he has a brother named Narendra Dhoni. Dhoni in 2008-09 asked his brother to get two floors of an apartment and open an old age home there,” said the Reddit user, whose maternal uncle was Dhoni’s school teammate.

“His brother gifted away those apartments to his in laws. When the news reached Mahiya, he cut all connections with his brother and built a 5 storey apartment as old age home himself in Ranchi.”

“While dhoni is one of the richest celebrity of India, his elder brother travels in state bus services and complains about state of public toilet on social media,” he added.
